"Do what you love. Know your own bone; gnaw at it, bury it, unearth it, and gnaw it still."

Henry David Thoreau

There is nothing better than an adventure, especially one that leads back in time. Where the history of a country, people, or place appear as a mirage against the asphalt of current. Ghosts on the road, with traces of collective memory hovering in the air, of life which used to be, but is no more. It is here that we gnaw on the power of the present in the shadows of the past.

At the gnaw is the epic and ongoing battle of man against nature, of a life that is consuming a life that once was. From a front row seat in a landfill of humanity.
