Virginia Mallon / Fat Canary Journal
THE FAT CANARY
JOURNAL

The Fat Canary is an artist run platform celebrating contemporary and emerging artists formed in 2018. It was created to offer an alternative space for artists to share their work. Originally a print journal, due to the pandemic in 2020, it was changed to an online gallery. Since then we have recalibrated several times. Fat Canary artists exhibit free of charge. No fee or commission are taken and all sales inquires are referred directly back to the artist. Since 2019 several Fellowships were granted to attend Arte Studio Ginestrelle, an art residency in Assisi, Italy. In-person exhibit have been held at ARC Gallery in Chicago, Ceres Gallery in New York City, and in April and October 2025 and we will be hosting an exhibit at Queens College Art Center in the Benjamin S. Rosenthal Library at Queens College.
